In order to improve our tatami skills, we participated in the competition as a culmination of the tatami skills and knowledge we have learned so far.
We met people who will be in charge of the tatami industry in the future, and it was a good stimulus, which made us even more determined to continue to work hard every day.
We will not forget this experience and encounter, and will continue to work hard, so we can further expand the development of the tatami industry!

Because it was so hard that we have to make tatami mats in 3 hours .
Tatami mats are mainly manufactured by machine, but there are some parts that cannot be made neatly unless they are made by hand, so Genroku Tatami incorporates the best of both.
We also hold workshops to pass on these detailed tatami techniques and to let people know about Japanese culture.
We will do our best to continue to preserve in various ways one of the Japanese cultures that is gradually disappearing as flooring becomes more common.
